About Kobi
DP · CAMERA OPERATOR · FILMMAKER · WRITER
A graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, with a degree in English and a concentration in Film Studies, Kobi Dansingburg started filmmaking in his second year of undergrad. After a series of successful critical and theoretical classes on film theory he developed an itch to get outside the classroom and start creating his own work.
That itch grew into a passion which he has pursued ever since, working on fictional and documentary shorts, corporate, and music performance videos. While at school he worked as a camera operator, shooting extensively for Minneapolis, MN based Flight Creative Media, and has had several successful video and marketing production internships with businesses and nonprofits including the nationally recognized Great River Shakespeare Festival in his hometown of Winona, MN.
Since graduating Kobi has built a wealth of experience in all aspects of video production with his own creative services company. Over the past three years Kobi Dansingburg Creative Services has taken on various roles in editorial, filmmaking, videography, and creative consultancy. Kobi has written, directed, and produced video, audio, and photographic content for clients including St. Paul Almanac/StoryMobile, Theatre Communications Group, Ten Thousand Things Theater Company, Winona State University, Ridgeway Community School, Land Stewardship Project and more.
...and no, he was named after the most capped player for the U.S. Men's Soccer National Team, Cobi Jones. Not Kobe Bryant.
